Assalam-O-Alaikum! Hadiths mean the narration of the Prophet (SAW) of a saying, or of an act, or of an acceptance (Tasweeb). Regardless of whether the matter is authenticated or still disputed. So, to express Tasweeb, the Muhadditheen (the scholars of Hadith) used the term Taqreer. It means that a Muslim behaved in a certain way when doing something in the presence of the Prophet (SAW). And it was noticed and not disapproved by the Prophet (SAW). In this way, the individual received the Prophet’s (SAW) tacit approval about the specific activity.
So, if Muslims are doing somethings then they check the references from the Hadiths. Whether it is authentic or not. Muslims believe in the Hadiths of Prophet Muhammad S.A.W.
Prophet Muhammad S.A.W informs us about everything in this world. Which is accepted (HALAL) and which is not accepted(Haram) in Islam. We Muslims Believe in HIS (S.A.W) hadiths.
